Time period for nonbusiness groups
If you defined several nonbusiness groups for your company, you now have the option of creating special time periods for these groups for individual co-workers.
In the ‘Personal data’ area for each co-worker, you will see a separate section for the nonbusiness groups. Here you can specify the period or date from which membership of a nonbusiness group changes. You can also see the change history here.

Effects on recording the working time
- Co-worker report: Times recorded in the past remain unchanged. Future nonbusiness days are taken into account based on the valid period.
- Absence planner: Nonbusiness days are displayed correctly according to the historical and current allocation.
- Absence calculation: If an absence is entered on a day that is now a nonbusiness day due to the changed nonbusiness assignment, the calculation is automatically carried out taking the nonbusiness day into account. The same applies in the opposite case.
Example
A co-worker changes location within the company and moves from North Rhine-Westphalia to Bavaria. According to the new place of residence, he is now to be assigned to the nonbusiness group Bavaria:
- 1-1-2025 to 1-5-2025: Assigned to the nonbusiness group NRW
- From 1-6-2025 with open end: Assigned to the nonbusiness group Bavaria

The co-worker report with the previously recorded times is not changed. The times documented in the past remain unchanged, for example on 6 January, 2024. However, the absence planner now correctly shows that the co-worker has a public holiday on 6 January, 2025.
Note for API users
Setting a “nonbusinessgroups_id” via API endpoint “users/v2” ensures that any validity periods created for nonbusiness groups for this co-worker become ineffective!
