Public note for absences
We added another useful feature to the absence planner: Create a public note to provide important information about your absence to all colleagues.
Distinguishing between private and public notes
Previously, when employees requested leave or another type of absence, they could add a private note. This note was visible only to themselves and the absence manager or supervisor.
With the new feature, it is now possible to add a public note to the absence, which can be read by all employees and colleagues. This is particularly useful for naming a specific colleague as a vacation replacement or for communicating a general reason for the absence. Comments on working out of office or in home office are also possible. This way, all team members can easily stay informed if needed.
Of course, it remains up to you, as the creator of the note, to decide what information you want to share with all employees.
Where is the public note visible?
Co-workers can find your public note in the absence planner, both in the calendar view and the planning board overview. Simply hover over the corresponding absence with the mouse to see the note in addition to the duration of the absence.
