Manage absences with Clockodo and Personio
Clockodo’s integration with Personio now offers expanded functionality: co-worker absences synchronise automatically between both systems. Approve an absence in Clockodo, and it instantly appears in Personio – same the other way around. No need for duplicate entries, keeping your absence management always up to date.
How to activate synchronisation
Once you connected Clockodo and Personio under “Apps & Add-Ons”, access the connection dashboard. Enable the absence synchronisation toggle and map absence types afterwards.
Mapping absence types
In the overview, match absence types from Clockodo and Personio to avoid discrepancies caused by different naming conventions. If needed, create new absence types in Personio’s settings.
Once the mapping is saved, synchronisation starts immediately.
Example
Approve holiday or sick leave in Clockodo, and the absence automatically syncs to Personio – same in reverse. Other absence types, such as home office, child sick days, or training days, also transfer seamlessly between both systems.
Important notes
- Only mapped absence types sync between systems.
- Synchronisation starts from the moment of mapping – past absences do not transfer.
- Only approved absences sync. Pending requests remain visible only in the original system.
- Only absences from already linked co-workers synchronise.
Tip for efficient use
Decide whether to manage absences primarily in Clockodo or Personio and let the automatic sync update the other system. This keeps everything organised.
