Completing subprojects
Clockodo adds a key feature to project management: You can now complete subprojects individually. This allows teams to mark finished sections of work and make their associated revenue visible, while other subprojects continue to run. As a result, reporting becomes faster and project progress more transparent.
Effects of completing a subproject
In general, subprojects behave like main projects. Here’s an overview of the new option and its impact:
Completing
- Complete subprojects via the Project reports area. Click the desired subproject and select Complete from the dropdown list instead of “Subproject is in progress”.
- Wherever the budget or revenue of the subproject appears, a small flag now indicates its completed status at a glance.
- After completion, the reports builder shows the proportional revenue from each subproject for all recorded times and automatically offsets the amounts.
Note: A main project can only be completed if all subprojects are completed or none are.
Time entries
Once a subproject is completed, no further billable time entries can be recorded. Non-billable entries remain possible.
