Connect ChatGPT and Claude to Clockodo: Time Tracking and Reports directly in your AI Chat

What You Can Do with Clockodo in ChatGPT and Claude
Whether it's time tracking or project management, the new integrations let you handle many tasks directly in your AI chat without having to navigate through different views in Clockodo. The following examples show just some of the possibilities.
Start and Stop Time Tracking
Want to start tracking time without opening Clockodo? Simply type or say to your AI assistant:
“Start tracking time for Development on my Website Relaunch project.”
ChatGPT and Claude will then start a time entry in Clockodo. You can also stop tracking time or add time entries retroactively.
Check Work Hours and Record Absences
Instead of manually gathering your work hours, simply ask ChatGPT or Claude:
“How many hours have I tracked this week?”
You can also record absences directly in the chat, for example, with the instruction: "Book a holiday for me next week."
Analyze Project Times and Revenue
How much time has your team invested in a project? And how is the budget developing? Simply ask your AI assistant:
"How many hours have we tracked for the Website Relaunch this month, and how is the budget looking?"
The AI analyzes the available Clockodo data. You can also compare different projects or time periods.
How to Connect Clockodo to ChatGPT or Claude
Setup takes just a few steps and requires no coding skills. You can get started directly in the AI service you want to use.
- Add the integration: Open the Clockodo plugin in ChatGPT or the Clockodo connector in Claude. Install the plugin or add the connector.
- Connect Clockodo: Log in with your personal Clockodo account and confirm the connection.
- Grant access: Review the requested permissions and grant the necessary access rights.
- Get started: Open a chat and ask your first question about Clockodo or enter an instruction.
For company accounts, an administrator may first need to make the integration available in ChatGPT or Claude. Clockodo itself does not restrict the use of these integrations to specific plans. Additional requirements may apply depending on the AI service.

You Decide What the AI Can Access
The connection gives ChatGPT or Claude access to the Clockodo features you authorize. For example, you can decide whether the AI is only allowed to retrieve data or can also perform actions such as adding time entries.
You can also specify whether the AI should ask for your confirmation before performing certain actions. Your personal access rights in Clockodo continue to apply. This way, you stay in control of what your AI assistant can do with your data.
Only grant access to the features you actually need. Be sure to follow your company's security and data protection policies.
Good to know: Both integrations use the existing Clockodo MCP server. Previously, you had to set up the connection manually. Now, you can add Clockodo directly in ChatGPT or Claude.
