New Clockodo time clock with absence management and timetable
We completely rebuilt and modernized the entire Clockodo time clock. First, we are now rolling out these updates in the web version. The smartphone and desktop apps will follow.
Behind the scenes, we took the time clock apart piece by piece and put it back together using a new technique. This upgrade brings the time clock closer to the main application, allowing us to implement new features more quickly in the future.
Manage your absences
You can now easily view, request, and manage absences through the time clock.
Click the airplane icon in the bottom menu to display all requested vacation, sick, or home office days, as well as overtime reduction. Both list and calendar views are available for quick reference. At the top right, you always see how many vacation days you have left for the current year.

Requesting a new absence
To request a new absence, click on the blue plus sign in the top right corner, select the "Absence" tab, and choose the desired type of absence. You have access to all types, such as vacation, illness, or parental leave. Then, you enter the relevant details as usual. Here, you can add private and public notes, just like in the main application.
This way, you keep track of all your absences in the time clock.

The timetable now appears in the time clock
Previously, the time clock displayed a list of time entries for the last two weeks. Now, the familiar timetable from the main application is newly integrated. The layout matches the usual view and can be toggled between tiles and list format using the switch button. A weekly overview at the top provides orientation and a quick glance at the hours you have already worked that week.
Moreover, the time clock adapts better to different screen sizes. This makes the timetable particularly pleasant and clear. On wide screens or tablets, you can use the view from the main application.
Special feature: The view of time entries is no longer limited to two weeks! You easily choose time entries for any desired day.

Create time entries with break times
The plus symbol in the bottom menu bar or the top right corner of the timetable opens the time entry form. You can now directly specify break times here as well. This update aligns the entry options between the time clock-app and the main application.
Split time entries and submit requests in the timetable
In the timetable, you have even more options to edit your time entries. Simply click on the desired entry — whether in tile or list view — and choose one of the options. As before, you can edit, delete, and continue an activity in the live time clock. New options include copying or splitting a time into two separate entries.
Special feature: If editing a time entry requires a request to the team leader or owner, you do this directly in the time clock-app without switching to the main application.
Enjoy full flexibility when recording and editing your times!

In case something goes wrong
We thoroughly tested our time clock internally and are excited to make it available to you. However, if any issues arise, you have the option to temporarily switch back to the old version of the time clock. Click on the three dots in the bottom menu to access the menu page and select the option to return to the old version.
Preview: Update of the Clockodo smartphone and desktop apps
The new features from the web version’s time clock will soon be available in both the desktop app and the mobile app for Android and iOS. Look forward to these added features and even more flexibility on your PC and on the go.
When will the update be planned? for the Windows part?
Hi Henri,
we are currently working on releasing the new version for the desktop clients as soon as possible. It should maximum last a few more weeks.
