Correct accounting of overlapping times
Previously, the time account accounted time entries twice if they overlapped. This has historical reasons and originates from times when Clockodo did not yet evaluate working times. Both entries flowed into the work time account and thus increased the daily total. In such a case, a warning appeared beforehand in the affected day of the working time account, in order to be able to correct this.
Change in calculation
From now on, Clockodo will no longer account time entries that overlap in time twice in the work time accounts. The new accounting will also take place retroactively for 2023, starting January 1, 2023.
Due to the retroactive calculation for 2023, changes can occur in the work time accounts if time entries overlapped. The retroactive adjustment means that double accountings no longer occur.
For this reason, we have chosen the new year as the time for this adjustment to keep the impact as low as possible, since relatively few entries have been posted yet.
With the new calculation, Clockodo shows the actual hours worked, even if project times overlap in time. This correction allows us to better develop Clockodo in the future.
Project times remain unaffected
Don't worry: The time entries themselves will remain, so your project evaluations will not be affected by the change. All reports in the builder and on individual projects will remain as they are.
